One of the most anticipated scratch albums of the year is about to drop on Alpha Pup Records, the California based label headed by Daddy Kev. 'Dunhill Drone Committee' by Mike Boo is the long awaited follow up to his collaboration with Ricci Rucker on the groundbreaking and fairly legendary 'Scetchbook' album. 2 years have passed since then, and a lot has happened for Mike, who is currently working as part of the live outfits Gunkhole (alongside Ricci, DStyles and Gio) and Dollar Bin Quintet (alongside Teeko and the Four One Funk crew). In between all the tours and live shows Mike managed to finish his first solo LP and the latest in a series of all scratched albums coming out of the US and Europe.
To celebrate this release the good people at Alpha Pup have given us an exclusive track from the album which you can now download for your listening pleasure. Read on for more info...

The album will land in the States in about a week, on the 6th of September and should follow in Europe and the rest of the world roughly two weeks later. As with all the Alpha Pup releases up to now the album will be available on CD and mp3 downloads via a wide range of outlets such as Itunes, SonyConnect and more.
Featuring 9 brand new tracks and the excellent 'Pathway', which was released on a limited 7" last year with Teeko on Four One Funk, the album pushes the envelope of what turntable music and scratching can be, much like Mike did with Ricci on 'Scetchbook'. In the words of Alpha Pup: 'Unlike the majority of so-called "scratch albums", Dunhill Drone Committee is truly all-scratched - with every drum, melody and bassline manually scratched in. Mike takes the listener on an indie rock-infused journey, with scratching guitar drones, weeping strings and ambient noise. The ethereal and atmospheric feel of Dunhill Drone Committee is new territory for scratch composers and ups the ante once again."
