Spin Science Radio Blog

Welcome to Spin Science’s online Radio Blog! In this section you will find the most recent playlist of tracks we’ve been feeling, listening to and rewinding at the HQ (aka my spare room) as well as a link to our pop up Radio Blog which lets you stream/listen to all the playlist as well as all the audio downloads available on the site. So now you don’t have to browse the site in silence anymore or the internet for that matter. If you’re not at home or you haven’t got any music to listen to just open the Radio Blog and check out some of our favourite tracks, both old and new, and some nice cutting.
The playlist and selection of tracks will be updated fairly regularly, and you can find links to the artists’ or labels’ websites and shops alongside the track names, so if you like what you hear be sure to go check their site and support them by buying the music. The playlist is a reflection of all the music sent in to me for reviewing and for airplay on turntableradio.com. Alongside recent releases it also includes old and recent favourites of mine and anything else I feel like sharing with you. All the Spin Science audio downloads are included in the playlist as well, and can be downloaded in our dedicated ‘downloads’ section. We hope you enjoy the music and the new addition to the site and feel free to send in any feedback, suggestions etc… And thanks to the boys at Hand Control for the Radio blog hook up.

So how does it work?

Radio Blog is really simple and straight forward to use. Clicking on the link below will launch a pop up window with the player. This means that if you’re using a browser or computer settings that forbid pop ups from sites unless authorised by yourself then you must make sure you authorise pop ups from spinscience.org.uk. Once that’s done, or if you don’t have pop up blocking set, the radio player should appear in a separate window. You will then see a list of tracks, which can all be accessed by double clicking on the name. Once you’ve started playing one track, the others will queue up according to the order on the playlist, or you can use the ZAP! button on the top right corner to skip to the next track along. You can also select tracks by using the drop down menu on the bottom right corner. Volume can be set using the blue bar beneath the playlist, and the crossfader box can be ticked to make the tracks fade into each other. Lastly you can also pause the tracks by clicking on the button beneath the volume meter. When changing from one track to the next, it may take a few seconds for the Radio Blog to preload the track, so if you have crossfader set on the music wont stop till it can fade into the next track. Any queries about Radio Blog, or if you want to get your own can be found on the home page, radioblogclub.com.
Big thanks to Tom X2K for helping out with getting this set up!
