Finally we've finished the last update of the year, now for your consumption in all its glory. And it's quite a special one too as we're celebrating our second birthday and the fact that we've had over a million hits since launching the new version of the site a year ago. So plenty of reasons for everyone to celebrate. Up this month we've got interviews with DJ Disk, Netik & Troubl, Sadat X, B+, Lotek, Kentaro, Baku and a Japan special feature. Audio & video wise we've got some exclusive footage from the Hip Hop Kemp festival and a new Radio Blog with plenty of new and old favourites.
Read on to find out all about the new content.

Interviews, features and reviews:
Japan Special pt1 - Eastern Decknology - Part 1 of our Japan Special is a feature about the new generation of tablists, DJs and producers in the Tokyo underground. The article looks at the work of the likes of Kentaro, Baku, Dis Defence Disc crew, Tatsuki, Goth Trad and more. Read on to find out all about what's been happening DJ wise in the land of the rising sun.
Japan Special pt2 - DJ Baku - As part of Japan Special we caught up with DJ Baku, one of the most interesting artists on the Tokyo underground at the minute. Read on to find out all about the man who's been dubbed 'the new DJ Krush' in his homeland, and who's been putting out some seriously interesting music.
Japan Special pt3 - DJ Kentaro - Finishing our Japan Special is a quick catch up interview with DJ Kentaro, where we quizzed him on his recent signing to Ninja Tune and the work he's been doing for the label.
Netik & Troubl - We caught up this French duo at PLASA earlier on this year, to find out what they were both up to, get the lowdown on the new Mixvibes gear they were demo-ing and their thoughts on the music, what's wrong with France and more.
DJ Disk - We bumped into the one and only DJ Disk at the DMCs this year and grabbed the opportunity to quiz this legend about what he's been up to, what he's got coming next and his thoughts on music, asses and more. An interview that's as funny as he's legendary. Do not miss!
B+ / Keepintime - We spoke with Brian Cross aka B+ about the recent European launch of his excellent Keepintime & Brasilintime projects. Read on for B+'s thoughts on how the projects developped, what Brasilintime is all about, what he thinks of the current situation in the US and much more. Keepintime is one of our favourites documentaries of recent years, and this interview shows exactly why.
Sadat X - The wild cowboy and brand nubian himself drops by for a chat about his new, long-awaited LP, his past and his future.
Lotek Hi Fi - Lotek Hi Fi dropped one of our favourite LPs this year and so it was only right that we catch up with the man behind the Lotek and find out everything about the LP, future projects, forgotten classical music elements, what urban music is all about, tractor drive bys, the benefits of free cable and why the internet is full of porn. One of the funniest interviews we've done in ages.
Hip Hop Kemp 2005 - The biggest hip hop festival in Eastern Europe returned bigger and better this year, and we were there to witness it in all its glory. Cheap food, cheaper beer, great acts and the best 3 days we've spent in a field in a long time. Read all about it.
DMC World Finals 05 - Is DMC dead? alive? In limbo? I don't know if anyone really actually cares, but we went to the other side of town once more to find out... and well let's just say it was 'entertaining'.

Downloads & Radio Blog
To celebrate our birthday we've now made the Downloads section publicly available, meaning you don't need to login to access it anymore. And in addition to the recent exclusive Pfel track we posted (which you should check if you haven't yet) we've also added 5 videos from the Hip Hop Kemp festival. These include performances by Inspektah Deck, Masta Ace, Foreign Beggars, One Self and more. Just click here to be taken there right now.

In addition to the new downlaods we've also added a Radio Blog to the site, a pop up radio player that lets you listen to a selection of some of our favourite tracks, old and new and a good dose of cutting too. To find out more about the Radio Blog click here and click here to launch the pop up player (you must enable pop ups from this site first if you use blocking software).

That's it for this month, and for 2005. We'll be back with a full update in early spring 06, but in the meantime we'll keep bringing you news and downloads, so be sure to check back on the regular. We'll also have an interview with Mike Boo, which we couldn't sort out in time for this update, in the coming weeks. And while we'll be retreating back to our caves for the winter, it's all for a good cause as we'll be working on making the site bigger and better with revamped design, layout and content. Till then enjoy all the new content and as usual any feedback, comments, requests, stuff for reviewing, news, interview/feature queries, complaints, death threats, free booze etc... can be put to us through the contacts page.
